At Pennswood Village, we believe in the pursuit of wellness. Health care at Pennswood is a collaborative effort. The resident, family members and our medical team work together within the value system of each resident to provide proactive health care.

Dr. Mary Ann Forciea, Medical Director and Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine heads the medical staff. Our Resident Health Department is open 40 hours a week and is staffed by our two physicians (both board certified in geriatric medicine) and our two full-time nurse practitioners. Registered nurses are on campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist all residents.

Barclay House, our Personal Care Residence, allows our residents to receive the extra daily help and attention they may need within an upbeat personal care setting. Located in the Community Building, residents easily meet with friends and family to enjoy our busy campus.

Woolman House, our Skilled Nursing Residence, provides 24-hour-a-day, seven day a week, skilled nursing care in a cheerful, active area. Residents appreciate the beautiful gardens and a multitude of activities within the security of an area where they have freedom of movement as well as careful attention.
