From the moment Philip and Helen walked through the front door of Pennswood, they felt an engaging energy. “Come and experience it yourself,” encourages Helen. “You don’t know what you are missing,” says Philip. The couple says they have found a community that embodies the Quaker spirit of service. “People go out of their way to help each other,” adds Philip. As a former school headmistress, Helen enjoys the community’s smooth functioning and as a family therapist she appreciates how well people work together.
