April 8, 2013. Newtown, PA: The Board of Directors of Pennswood Village has announced the resignation of Karen Lehman, Executive Director, and the appointment of Ben Hoyle, Chief Financial Officer, as Acting Executive Director, effective June 1, 2013.
On Sunday, March 17, an exhibition of husband and wife artists Michael and Nina Wommack will open at the Pennswood Art Gallery with a wine and cheese reception from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The artists will also present an illustrated talk at 2:00 p.m. before the opening.
U.S. News & World Report has named Pennswood Village in their Best Nursing Homes 2013 Issue.
On Sunday, January 13, a retrospective exhibit of multimedia work by Marsha Levin-Rojer will open at the Pennswood Art Gallery with an illustrated Artist's Talk at 2:00 p.m. followed by a wine and cheese reception from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The Artist's Talk and opening reception are free and open to the public. The show, which runs through March 10, is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Pennswood Village will host a Zumba-thon that will benefit the American Red Cross and local disaster relief on Saturday, December 8 from Noon to 4 p.m. We are offering a fun afternoon filled with Zuma for all ages and experiences and featuring free massages. Pennswood Village Sponsors 6th Annual Used Bicycle Collection to Benefit Bikes for the World on Saturday, September 29th. Please bring your no-longer wanted bicycles to Pennswood Village, located at 1382 Newtown-Langhorne Road on route 413, 0.6 mile south of the Newtown bypass, on Saturday, September 29 between 9:00 a.m. and noon. Bikes for the World will ship donated bicycles to community development programs in developing countries, where they are reconditioned and distributed at modest cost to low income people in need of reliable transportation.

Pennswood Village Fiberworks Gallery Exhibits Self-Portraits of Newtown Friends School 7th and 8th Grade Studio Art Students The exhibit is an intergenerational collaboration between Pennswood and Newtown Friends School, a pre-K through eighth grade independent day school. The show, which runs from January 31 through February 7, is open to the public.
