Music brought Jerry and Fran to Pennswood. In the 1980s, the couple founded The Mozart Society of Philadelphia. Music events sponsored by the Society, often attracted Pennswood residents. “After meeting residents, we just knew these were people we wanted as our neighbors in the future,” says Fran. In 2004, the couple moved to Pennswood where they continue to make music. Fran regularly plays the organ, and Jerry his beloved oboe. “No one sits around here," adds Fran. People here are people who do things,” agrees Jerry. “It’s a marvelous place. Pennswood does a very good job of making people feel at home.”
